2:35 PM
hello

Hey!

how ya been?

busy.
sort of...

2:50 PM
what do you mean?

nwp
The struggle between not meeting deadlines and procrastinating in chat.

i felt that

I've been attempting to be productive at work in the past weeks, take care of non-work related things, and not go mad, and it did not quite work well. So now I'm taking a week off of work to take care of the non-work related things...

sorry, man

nwp
Consider prioritizing not going mad.

2:53 PM
yes

Yes, it's quite high on my list.

other than not dying, it should be at the top

Yep. The lockdown we had in the spring was not fun, and specially for the kids, and so I don't want to give them that again.
Yelling at them and being angry all the time...

Week off work to take care of things sounds nice! I'm very much looking forward to my break after christmas

On one hand, I have hope we'll get through this. On the other, it seems like the world is gonna stop spinning tomorrow

2:59 PM
Yeah, taking a break is nice!
@TheMattbat999 Probably both will happen at the same time ;P
Christmas holidays are coming but I'll be in daddy mode for the whole two weeks, so even if I take a vacation there, that's not going to give me a lot of rest...
I'll probably need another break after that period :P

@Vaillancourt hope not, i kinda like living here :3

I expect things to slow down..

who knows? depends on if people actually learned any lessons this year or not

Those who had to learn anything learned it in the first few months.

ooo also, I made a small webpage for my Unity game

3:13 PM
Nice!
Where do you host it?

through Github
may I share link?

user92578
Of course lol

i am working on getting a new domain

user92578
Very 90s web-vibes :P

user92578
The centering irks me :D

3:18 PM
good, then it matches the game itself. and the centering irks me too
I worked on that for like, 30 minutes
that was as close as I could get without going crazy

user92578
From a marketing perspective it might be a good idea to slap some big pictures/videos to the top of the page?

user92578
Slapping padding: 0 to ul and margin: 1em auto to li seems to fix the centering

thank you

Welp. government said no Christmas this year.
That's both bad and a relief at the same time.

user92578
What does that mean in practise? Gatherings that include people living elsewhere are not allowed?

Yes, this is it.
So grandparents will not be able to see their grand-children, etc, etc...
We though we would have a "small break" for Christmas, but no.
That's mainly for the grandparents that I'm worried. It looks super hard for them to not be able to see these little rascals.

user92578
We do not have similar rulings here, however we decided a while back against any big family gatherings, probably just a Zoom call
However me and my brother do hope to be able to visit our parents for a few days, so I hope no rulings are made that would prevent that from happening

Yeah, I hope you guys are more "disciplined" over there so that you can still do a bit of social things.

The situation is not great, a bunch of areas are transitioning from "acceleration" phase to "spreading" phase, so constantly getting new restrictions.
I don't understand why people are still doing things anyways, my outside interaction is going to the store once a week and receiving a food bag from work once a week...

I don't get it either. I have too much to lose to risk being infected--mainly time (I need to go out more often than that, though).
And the people with whom I'd like to spend time are old, i.e. my parents and my parents-in-law.... I don't want them to catch it...

@TheMattbat999 please make the gradient much more subtle or remove it, your site's going to look better with a relatively steady background
dark purple should not go top of dark grey

10:18 PM
Personally, the gradient might not be so bad if was 'anchored' a bit differently - I found scrolling across the middle white section visually unpleasant, and didn't much care for how it then mirrored back toward the darker color.

10:41 PM
Copyright notice doesn't look right either, but I don't have a known correct sample to compare to at the moment.
