the only thing you can assume from that is that the developer made sure it 'should' work under win10

that mostly means win10 was the only platform used in testing

I think a passing definition for Windows Desktop App could be literally anything that runs under windows, in which case the answer would be "yes"

but a windows 10 desktop app, nowadays, is a term that is used to associate it with the windows app store. so it'd have to be built using dotnet and the respective framework(s) to be deploeyd and updated via store

i can do the effort to check, explain why i assume something, etc.

so yeah, almost anything can be distributed by the winstore. and the term windows 10 app doesn't need to mean an application distributed and managed through the windows store.

But it is a valid assumption that most people will mean/understand these things when they write/read windows 10 app

and if something is rated for win10 64bit only, we can make the assumption that it is very likely built based on some version of dotnet framework. Because why wouldn't you use that for a windows 10 64bit application

IDK if it's available on all applications, but at least some can be installed on your Xbox One directly from the Windows Store

if it is a clean UWP app then it can be run on everything from win10 / xbox one onwards according to microsoft

but even when you're developing for UWP you could be doing stuff that does not translate to other devices. e.g. using paths that simply don't exist on other devices, etc.

It's fun! It's a single Vue file that's like, 300 lines of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
