What's the point of CPUs with a ridiculous amount of cores?
After a point you'll get into GPU category and those can always outperform them threading-wise
A guy working on some kind of medical picture generator algorithm told me, that at one poijt they were running their programs on the university's supercomputer, but then realised single Titan V can massively outperform it

@Bálint Throw a lot of different jobs on different CPU cores
like oine is handling streaming my video while the other is dealing with the game

4:20 AM
@Bálint We need to need all those cores to help some maximize ROI for shareholders.

Thanks @JoshPetrie for removing extraneous comments on my recent answer, including my own which were issued in defense. Things were getting uncivil. I do prefer an answer that doesn't contain a wall of naysayers naysaying without ever understanding the field in question (games), while refusing to discuss the topic privately in chat, so once again, much appreciated.

@ArcaneEngineer I almost commented to ask about the applicability of your answer's performance caveat to languages other than C++. Instead I decided to look into it myself & fell down a rabbit hole made out of JVM byte code & JIT hot spot optimizations.

Hello

HOLA
Stellaris is good.
Complicated though

user92578
I love the OST, haven't played the game though

:D
Axeboy says "GunHero is really hard"
this is a good thing

user92578
Pretty chill day today, family visitation day but mine couldnt come so a lot of freeish time

user92578
Still pretty worn out though

cool, glad to hear that! :D

6:05 PM
I don't play lots of platformers, and GunHero is hard, but the short levels makes it fun.

6:25 PM

@doppelgreener hello

How are you doing?

The offending sections are this:
  XtraUtils.Object.addMethod('merge', (function(){
    /**
     * Merges 1 or more objects.
     * @method merge
     * @param {...Object} objects The objects to merge.
     * @returns {Object}
     * @memberof XtraUtils.Object
     * @static
     * @example
     * // returns { a: 1, b: 2 }
     * Object.merge({a:1},{b:2})
     */
    return function merge(...objects) {
      return objects.reduce( (ret, merger) => {
        return Object.assign(ret, merger);
      }, create(null));
    };
  })());

Wat I pasted it in the wrong room
