In old cartoons, particularly "Little Red Riding Rabbit" of Looney Tunes, characters say "to have", for example in said cartoon Little Red Riding Hood says she is bringing a rabbit to her grandma "to have, see?". What is the meaning of this "to have"?

this was a good movie. but does anyone know why the main character was named 'michael faraday', apparently after the scientist? I couldnt find anything in history that would appear relevant to the plotline.
