I am currently writing a book where the main antagonist sets up a meeting with the Protagonist to try and covertly convince him to join his plan and side.

Kind of like in Sam Raimi's 1st spiderman movie Green Goblin tries to convince Spiderman to join him.

What other movies and scenes are there where this happens? So I can get an idea of what their strategy and approach is as a general villain in doing this.
