Q: Why doesn't John Murray have a headshot on iMDB?

Jason P SallingerIt is understandable that several performers don't feature a headshot on their iMDB thumbnail. For these reasons it seems Murray should: he had notable roles in three films, including a starring vehicle (Moving Violations) he is famous by proxy (Bill Murray's brother) being part of the wave of...

Q: Why did Sofia do this to John's bottle?

Johnny MaskIn John Wick 3 Parabellum (2019), before dropping John off at the desert, Sofia drinks all of John's water before gargling it and spitting it back into his bottle. Why did she do this to John's bottle ?

@NapoleonWilson Looks promising like Skyfall. Do you know every adversary of Daniel's JB has some sort of scar? I wanted to ask a question about it, but don't know how to form it
@AnkitSharma Gone already.
@ankii If you're studying, you're not on vacation, unless you're reading something leisure. ;P

9:29 AM
@AJ ah disorientation of the sentences.. "I am still studying, but on vacation rn @AnkitSharma "
cleaning up my bookmarks..

@AJ credit goes to Catija I guess
@ankii lol
@AJ ask in winterbash

9:44 AM
@AnkitSharma let's see
@AnkitSharma How come?

9:56 AM
@AJ I have my secret ways ;)

@AJ True. But it also seems to be a common Bond trope for the villian to have some kind of special physical feature or disfiguration.
I count about half of the pre-Craig Bonds, depending on your definition of "villain" and "disfiguration".
(Not that this couldn't make for an interesting question anyway.)
It's probably related to the old insane body - insane mind dichotomy, as also touched in this question as well as more pop-culturally in the figure of Two-Face, which repeatedly tried to dispel this connection, as explained in this related answer.
And to the fact that Bond villains traditionally ought to be over-the-top, even if the earlier Craig films tried to tone that down a little.
@AJ Though, you seem to have glanced over Quantum of Solace, which might be understandable. ;-)

10:28 AM
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, that's a forgettable movie. ;)

10:38 AM
I liked Dominic Greene, though, among other things.
It was okay, if it hadn't been cut to death.

10:59 AM
Hey, @NapoleonWilson I am answering some old questions lately but to make it clear it's not for the bounty challenge and if by any chance I get 1st spot kindly pass it to 2nd post holder or skip all together.

@AnkitSharma That's not going to happen, I'm afraid. ;-)
You answered the questions and you deserve the recognition if you did so well enough.

One of them got 4 upvotes :P
And if am not wrong many time 4/5 voted answer do win

@AnkitSharma In fact, it wouldn't actually be a bad thing at all if you did it just for the challenge. That's what the challenge is there for, to make people answer old questions.

@NapoleonWilson not sure about recognition but I can target soem tag badges ;)

You don't get to eschew reputation, though. If you feel someone else's answer deserves it more, you can offer your own bounty, though.

11:07 AM
@NapoleonWilson I might have done it in some other sites where I am lacking privileges but here I am having 4 times the max rep I need to see shinny graphs
@NapoleonWilson I was planning to do some meta boutny reward soon but it seems december I will be bsuy, maybe january.
For now I want to be the 4th arrowverse tag tag holder
Maybe I should keep eyes open for crisis

Good idea.

@NapoleonWilson I already have 5k extra rep to give, as I want to keep 100 to see 100k swag if it even exists anymore :D

By the time they eventually get the swag figured out again (if they ever will), you'll be back at 200k anyway.

But it wouldn't be a big surprise if swag was the first thing being left at the wayside (well, not the first either). In a time of reconsideration towards clearer company dictates and on what really makes the company move on, community freebies like those, especially for random niche sites, seem to be the utmost expendable thing among a ton of expendable things.

It's a bit of an odd question to begin with. Makes it hard to figure out tagging.

I feel rather then show tags but I didn't figure out if we shudl even entertain it or not
@Memor-X hey

hi

@AnkitSharma Previously I always thought iandotkelly was in the room. Now I always think Megan Risdal is in the room. ;-)

Who is Megan Risdal? Ok ok got it some SO employee

11:24 AM
@AnkitSharma doesn't seem to quite fit either.

@NapoleonWilson So picky.

It's okay. It's just a matter of getting used. ;-)

I though @Mithical is some elf but seems like just a geek/nerd blushing
And as expected @AJ profile pic is just bland

Yeah, Em didn't include pointed ears options in this one (:

@Mithical nerd elf blushing is not a bad idea either
@Memor-X wassup

11:41 AM

@NapoleonWilson Don;t worry. Soon enough I'll change it again and you'll have to get used to it again. ;)
Anyway, you're one to talk. With your current avatar you could be any of a hundred people :P

@AnkitSharma nothing much, just came out of the shower and now about to boot up Steam to play Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment
yourself?

12:06 PM
@AnkitSharma I thought he just was on a Star Wars trip now. ;-)
@Mithical True indeed.
@AJ Is that a time dilation joke?

12:31 PM
@AJ ??
@Mithical lol
@Memor-X 'office work

A J
@NapoleonWilson Only if you get it. :P
@AnkitSharma You didn't watch Interstellar, did you?

@AJ Not really. But I suppose it needs context, that I don't have, on what a #10yearchallenge actually is.

@NapoleonWilson Can I call SW bland without offending anyone here ?

A J
@NapoleonWilson Aren't you smart? ;)

@AnkitSharma Well, I'm not the one with the Star Wars inspired avatar. ;-)
@AJ No, I am, very much so even.

12:36 PM
@AJ yes but?

A J
@NapoleonWilson I mean to say you're really smart cause you figured that out
@AnkitSharma Then you didn't pay attention.

Oh, so it is Star Wars? I actually discounted that guess since on a closer look it didn't quite match the font styling.

A J
I gave a space there, so it looks a bit strange
I got it designed here

@AJ If you're implying that little step in the water cost them 10 years on Earth, the I'm afraid you didn't pay attention, since based on the film's very dialogue it would only be about 20-30 hours on Earth. ;-P
@AJ Yes, it makes more sense now. I didn't consider the backwards blurring effect on the edges.

A J
@NapoleonWilson Did you seriously watch the scene again and calculate the time? :P
@NapoleonWilson Well, the site name is flamingtext so it gives some flaming effect to logos.

12:50 PM
@AJ No, I just took a guess that step in the water doesn't take longer than about 2 seconds.
And I still knew the factor was 1h : 7a.
Because I...paid attention. ;-)

@AJ yes but there is no 10 year stuff there
@AJ booooooo bbboooooring
@AJ did you forgot @NapoleonWilson is Intersteller expert.

@AnkitSharma O_O

So I need 40k to be a Palindrome :D

A palantír?
Pandorum was nice, though.

A palindrome is a word, number, phrase, or other sequence of characters which reads the same backward as forward, such as taco cat or madam or racecar or the number 10801. Sentence-length palindromes may be written when allowances are made for adjustments to capital letters, punctuation, and word dividers, such as "A man, a plan, a canal, Panama!", "Was it a car or a cat I saw?" or "No 'x' in Nixon". Composing literature in palindromes is an example of constrained writing. The word palindrome was first published by Henry Peacham in his book, The Truth of Our Times (1638). It is derived from the...
@NapoleonWilson need to check what is that
If it's a not Tom cruiz shit then I can give it a go

1:03 PM
Vanilla Sky would be the closest you could get to a Tomelope Cruiz film, I guess.

No issues with Penélope Cruz
Let me see if I ever liked her or not
Not sure about her role in Gothika
PotC was bleh
Ok so not seen her enough to appreciate or bash her
So Monday is WInter bash and I will miss out Christmas week so need to over compensate in advance

A J
@NapoleonWilson :|

I still hate the recycled design but will partiicpate

But you've seen enough winters to bash them?

A J
lol

1:10 PM
In fact you quite literally have seen enough winter bashes to bash the new one for its recycled design. Hah!

Are we bashing the Winter Bash?
Sound like a good meta question :D

People already tried that, though. ;-)

Now which three sites to pick this year ::thinking pose:

If there even is a hat for that.

My Hindusim and IPS question are already finished
@NapoleonWilson there is always a hat for that if you bash the winter enough

1:12 PM
I didn't notice the LEGO site actually gave out prices for the most hats last years. I only just recently started getting back into LEGO.

@NapoleonWilson I tried and failed miserably

Q: Is medical equipment product placed in House?

Mikael Dúi BolinderI have seen some classic Apple product placements but there are also names of some medical equipment manufacturers shown, e.g. on CT Machines. Are there product placements of medical equipment in House?

7:35 PM
@NapoleonWilson daaaay?
I swear to God, if they make James Bond a . . . not James Bond . . .
Is anything ever immune to bullshit these days?
See if this sounds familiar
A lot of movies, a lot of pop culture, a lot of build up, so some guy becomes a legend among normal folk.
Then we get this scene, where a random nobody out of nowhere says "hey Legend, you're not so Legend, stay out of my way or I'll [insert beating to a pulp metaphor]"
And we audience are supposed to be all like "ohhh noooo oh em geeeee is (s)he the new cool guy, she must at least be as cool as the main hero, or five kilocools more"
Well, it only works the first three million times, you see. Now, it just ruins the cool guy for you, and the newbie too. Oh because excuse me, noob, where the heck were you when James Bond was . . . Bonding?
Ohhh but it's OK, three scenes later we're reaffirmed that the Legend guy still has a few tricks up his sleeve, although obviously heavily overshadowed by the new cool guy that's busy being cool and posing for the camera
And in the climax, it's not 100 percent the new guy/gal, it's only 99 percent them. Thank God! We now confirm Legend is not a loser.
Well I dunno about you, but I'm sick of this formula.
At least people respect John Wick, Ethan Hunt and Jason Bourne in their own worlds, more or less.
End of rant.
Dinner!

8:10 PM
That is not to say that generally the only idea Hollywood seems to have of empowering women is making them meaner.
Good movies here and there of course, but it's usually just the damsel in distress this time saying, and literally nothing more, just saying, that "I'm stronger than men. I can take care of myself!"
Well, let's exploit the hell out of everything I guess. People watch it anyway. Michael Bay was right after all, and so was Scorsese. This is the age of manipulation, not art.
