@Memor-X even Batman didn't know he got son:

Q: Why does Mycroft call the US a colony even after it achieved independence?

SimpletonIn Season 2 Episode 1, after Mycroft explodes Sherlock's belongings, he says something to Sherlock: "Have a safe trip back to the colonies". Sherlock was to return to New York. But the tv series is set in the 21st century, where the US has already achieved independence. Was this a movie mistake?

@MovieReel Wow...that got popular real quick!

You answered too fast. ;-)
+politics.
The naiveté of the question is...adorable, though.

3:10 PM
Don't know about too fast...it was low hanging fruit for 90 minutes. Then it just exploded.

It was an allusion to the simple fact that fast answers contribute to arbitrary hotness points.
A question without an answer naturally doesn't tend to explode.

Q: Is there a name for this illogical sequence of events that often shows up in movies?

ewfoeoHere's something that I see over and over again in movies. It seems very illogical and forced to me, and I am wondering if it is a known cliche with a name?
