5% of 300 million people ... even assuming your figure is right that's 15 million people with no healthcare in what is supposed to be a first world country? Their fault? Not if they can't afford it and I've heard enough horror stories to know that a lot of people can't afford it...

There's plenty of information online if you go look into it instead of swallowing your insurance propoganda. People in the USA pay twice as much as people in other countries and yet don't even make it into the top 10 in terms of overall service.
