I haven't noticed the ads, because I've had an adblocker for years. It's supposed to let some ads through if they meet certain criteria (eg, not animated), but I don't really notice much. Either I don't have it configured correctly, or almost no ads on the internet are acceptable.
@gung They're served by Google; the vast majority are animated; and they reload within a few seconds. Unless you narrow the screen, the right hand side is a constantly moving, jumping zoo. There's no way one can really concentrate in such an environment.
