I was mightily puzzled by mentions of the chain rule until I realised that my high school teachers had used some quite different name, function of a function as I recall.

Right now the review queues are all clear. I can't remember the last time I saw that.

@gung The last time was a few months after the last moderator election. I started to reduce my activity on the review queues then, confident that the new moderators could pick up the slack :-).

It only took a year and a half, @whuber.

The truth is, I reduced my review activity substantially after becoming a moderator.

@gung Whatever the reason for the increase in the queues, I am grateful to all who worked to keep them from getting out of hand. (I have a good idea who you are.)
