Hello everyone, would someone be able to give me some pointers towards material on how to rank the short term expectation of two variables with different means and variances ? :)

@Josiah, you should ask on the main site. There are few people who come here that could advise you. If it ends up getting marked as a duplicate, that's OK. FWIW, I don't think you can use the weights that way, but I'm not enough of a NN expert to say for sure.
@image_doctor, you should ask on the main page, that isn't really a chat item. You'll have to develop the question more fully, though.

@gung I suspect this has been asked before, but I haven't found the correct search term yet.

@image_doctor Could you explain what a "short term" expectation might be? It sounds like you might be thinking of time series or stochastic processes rather than random variables. And if you are thinking of ranking anything based on more than one property, please be aware that question has been asked many times and usually is closed as too vague and personal: it's essential to provide quantitative details of how you would trade off between values of those properties.

@image_doctor: See stats.stackexchange.com/a/9361/17230 with regard to ranking things based on more than one property.

Hi guys, I'd like to ask about my question stats.stackexchange.com/questions/290705/…
I just want to know if I did the GLRT correctly
and then how do I go about finding the power of the most powerful test
