That's being stupid, not nice. You're WOW IT"S MEEEE comments are (1) not required, (2) annoying, and (3) deserved of being moved to the trash, where they belong. You subsequently commenting that someone else is being nice, then suggesting their comments get moved to the trash is simply being rude to the room owner who moved the message. This message, and any others like it will also be moved to the trash quickly.

@EvanCarroll see Max's message above please. If you have any issues about how ROs moderate the Heap, please take them to Meta — if you bring them up in the Heap you run the risk of being kicked.

@billinkc most likely at the point when we completely lose interest and totally ignore it.

what do they say, "there's no such thing as bad publicity"? Unless everyone ignores it, that is.

I assume his pattern of behaviour has been repeated in other chat rooms. I wonder how they dealt with it

@billinkc Evan has changed his behaviour in the past in response to how he is moderated — ROs like yourself and @Max shouldn't hesitate to kick-ban if a user tries to complain about room moderation in The Heap.

Fair enough. Just seems like a cancer to DBA.se His answers may be fantastic for his subject area but his malicious and manipulative behaviour is rather off putting

@billinkc his answers are not fantastic, but they are getting better. Evan has an incredibly long history on SE but I have no idea if he'll end up playing by our rules — but I wouldn't say I have no hope either. In one sense all this is useful — we need to learn to deal with difficulties like this, and Evan certainly won't be the last; it is really good to see ROs stepping up and taking responsibility for the atmos in the Heap
