The target room is deleted, which happens when comments are moved to chat without ensuring there are at least 15 messages. I've mentioned that to Max before, but that chat movement may predate that conversation

but the retention design seems not good to me. You get all the effort to move chats into rooms, which are later deleted? For inactivity? And some of the posters cannot even see it, even though their messages are there?
I would agree that mod moves to chat rooms should not be deleted but that's not how it works. When asked, the response was essentially that mods need to be aware of the issue.
