I think you can always announce such things on chat. They'll be welcome, just not seen by many people. I'm not sure where else to put it. Maybe you could manage a Meta question that was a round about way to let people know, but it could be closed...

I honestly don't think there's a large calligraphy community on Writing, but I could be wrong. We get very few handwriting questions, though that could be people just not posting them here.
