Could someone enlighten me please
an abusive moderator suspended an innocent user.
then suspended another innocent user for accusing them being associated with the previous one.
How could a moderator be so sure about that
Please advise if you know something.
Does the system detect that? Does the system not allow multiple users to share the same IP?
Or do some malicious users actively police other users and report anything they smell suspicious?
I can't help but relate to the unjust policing and protests that have been vilified.

@Tim i suspect that SE mods have access to other tools that help them determine if there is sock puppetry going on

Tim
I am crying ...
I don't know a way to protest for justice

also i wouldn't compare the two. given that it's still possible for an SE mod to abuse the system, from what i have seen (and this could be because i have not seen enough), the "innocent user" is hardly innocent

Tim
The moderators have been abusive all along
There should have been many victims. Is there some organization to unit all of the victims to protest against the unjust moderating?

well i don't know which site you're referring to so i can not comment on the mods actions. i just recall alot of cases where users complain about being unfairly banned by mods when actually they have a question ban and tried to hide there now quality questions by deleting them

Tim
3:03 AM
That is not the case that happened to me.
I never deleted my posts. On the contrary, they want to close and delete my posts
by suspending me
many other users are similarly banned
In light of the protests of the unjust policing, I feel vulnerable and helpless.

Rep. Steve King has been primaried, by someone just as bad but probably not quite as dumb

Tim
How can I avoid another innocent user using the same IP from being banned?

Tim
3:18 AM
I hope the bad moderators can also be defeated
and removed
lost tenure
hopefuly not just replaced by another bad one
I don't see any possibility though

3:38 AM
I'm finding it difficult to reconcile "where do I go to complain?" with 202K rep.
But that may just be the smurf in me.

@Tim This is not the proper channel to air grievances over suspensions. If you have serious concerns about a moderator or use to appeal a Code of Conduct violation, then you should contact a CM via the contact us form: stackoverflow.com/contact
I need to go to bed, but please don't discuss this in here any further. Use the contact us form linked above. No one in this room is able to assist you outside of telling you to contact a CM.

@TimStone lol

@Jolenealaska Do you know why? Because bad moderators have suspended me for posting valid questions numerous times, and I have tried to contact both moderator team (yes, those that I accused) and the CM) many times, nothing has been done to the bad moderators, except that only once, my suspension was removed.
Wherever there is power, there is corruption. I hope you can keep your mind unbiased, and reconsider your stance of distrusting regular users and wanting to defend your bad colleagues
There is never justice from the moderators and CMs on StackOverflow and some other SE sites

@Tim excuse me, but drawing a line between LITERAL POLICE MURDERS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR THEIR SKIN COLOR ALONE and bans on a website is extremely privileged, and I strongly believe that you're in the wrong for drawing that line, and should step back. If you want to pursue this, go to meta.

Tim
What wrong is it? Both are abusive: one is policing and the other is moderating.
the regular people are persecuted or killed.
if you have empathy for one, why not for the other?
I have been suspended multiple times on meta, after posting the problems
Everything that I and I believe many other regular users have tried is not accessible, because moderators actively closed and deleted posts and comments. So to you, nothing ever tried and nothing ever happened

@Tim It's a human life vs an account on a website. Come on.
And as wipqozn said, we can't help you. We are merely users. Go talk to meta OR CMs (stackoverflow.com/contact)

Tim
Just "an account on a website"? What it means to you isn't what it means to other users. Many are getting help for their study and work, which are their lifelines.
"Go talk to meta OR CMs (stackoverflow.com/contact)". Are you reading what I wrote?

Ave
@Tim SE means a lot to me. I've been here for years and made amazing friends and learned a lot of things, and helped out people too. I use it on a daily basis. However, getting banned from SE over sockpuppet allegations is nothing when compared to innocent people getting murdered, which is what you're comparing it to.
I am. But do consider, we cannot help you even if we wanted to. You can however get actual help on meta or via contact, assuming they want to help (if they consider that you're in the right etc). You're not getting anywhere with this, at least go talk to the people who can take steps to look into this and if you're in the right, solve this. This is a completely irrelevant chat too.

" However, getting banned from SE over sockpuppet allegations is nothing when compared to innocent people getting murdered"
1. the original user (me) was wrongfully abused and suspended by the moderators
nothing has ever been done about it.

@Tim Will you literally die if you don't get your stack exchange account back? No? Then stop comparing it to things that HAVE gotten people killed

Tim
Is it more conveient for you to ignore the origin but accusing me of sock puppet?
2. Multiple users can share the same IP address. Are you 100% sure the following suspended users are sock puppets?
@Nzall What it means to you isn't what it means to other users. Many are getting help for their study and work, which are their lifelines.
The two are different but comparable. Please wake up to moderators and elite users' abuses.

@Tim "This fly in my soup is just as bad as those locusts eating the crops of billions of people. Please someone do something about flies in soups" That's what you sound like

Tim
You said that because you seem to have empathy for one but not the other

@Tim This is not the room for complaining about moderator abuse. That entire conversation is off-topic here and should be moved outside the chat room. Please do not use this room to complain about SE moderation

10:59 AM
@Tim I'm just going to stop it here because this isn't worth my time

Tim
@MadScientist My original comments here were wondering about how the moderators determine sock puppets. The other users jumped to accuse me

That is off-topic here as well (I'm also pretty sure there is a meta post exactly about that that tells about as much as mods are willling to share about the details)

Tim
So complaints about everything happening in the world are okay, except SE?
What makes SE so unique?

If SE makes it into the news, you can complain about them here

We really need a moderator in this chatroom who can be present during EU timezones

11:07 AM
@Tim Mods often don't reveal how we determine socks
Why should we?

Tim
I asked the folks in this room. Not just you. I have never use "should", but I am hoping

But also, you've already been told:
> please don't discuss this in here any further

Q: How can you detect if users have created sock puppet accounts?

NaveedHow many users have created more than one profile on SO to vote themselves on their other original profile? There are some benefits when you have more reputation and sometimes you don't want a single -1 vote on your question or answer. In this case you may have an extra account to convert that -1...

@Tim ^ That's the answer on meta.SE, so I'm afraid that's what you'll have to go by. However, this rooms is for news topics, so I'd appreciate if we keep it that way

@Wipqozn I already didn't want to continue, but can't stand that you are lying

@Tim You've been warned twice now, and it's also been made quite clear that comparing a suspension by a mod to being murdered by a police office is highly offensive to people who have been the victims of police brutality. I can tell you're upset so I'm giving you a free pass this time. Don't do it again. Additionally, don't bring up the topic of your suspension here again, since you've been told that this is the proper venue to appeal that suspension.
only "a suspension by a mod"?
"being murdered by a police office ". most protesters are not just furious about the death of Floyd. The racial injustice has been long going
They are still alive, and don't have to be dead themselves to protest. They have been harassed by police on daily basis

I'm going to be honest I don't understand what you're trying to say right now

Tim
Because you don't have empathy

No, I don't know what your point is

Hang on, declined as inappropriate?
@Unionhawk Tim has been complaining a couple hours ago about a suspension for sockpuppeting

Tim
"a suspension by a mod" -> multi-year abuses

3:19 PM
@Nzall being handled

@Unionhawk thanks, I'll let you take it from here

Tim
@Nzall " a suspension for sockpuppeting" is just an event. It has been ongoing forever

Okay, no, we're not going to do this
