I have a whole bottle of chocolate syrup I wanna use up. Can I use it in pancakes in place of cocoa powder?

Can I mix 1tsp of vinegar in pancake batter to activate 1tsp baking soda?

@JohnZhau as long as you keep in mind that it will change the ratios, of course. You’ll effectively have less dry ingredients and I suspect that the batter will be a bit more prone to sticking and burning, as it’s basically sugar syrup, which is quite different from cocoa powder. You will need to experiment a bit, a 1:1 substitution likely won’t work.
