I tried some mochi from the local (not japanese) supermarket, matcha and cocoa flavor. I love matcha & I love chocolate but they were not good. Really soft, but not sweetness, just some light scent of matcha/cocoa & bitterness. Probably cause it was really cheap, but still a huge disappointment. Is mochi not supposed to be sweet or was it probably just bad?
