For reasons unfathomable to me, the phone hates my home wifi.
 
What happens?
I've never had any problems with any Wifi connection.
 
It just hangs forever at waiting for IP address.
And before you go crazy, my profession for many years was network engineer.

I tend to eat leftovers for breakfast in any case. So whatever was for dinner the night before is likely to be breakfast the next day.
 
I would say the vast majority of people here eat cereal or toast for breakfast

The beasties had to settle for a purple can, all of the oranges from that box had been eaten.
I imagine the cannonical breakfast hear would be none. Cereal is probably second.

Yeah. The book was on special from Amazon, and it was an interesting read, but since it was marketed as a cookbook for people who can't cook... I mean, he spends a lot of it talking about gellification and trapping animals, which I would hope an amateur chef would save for advanced learning.

Does polenta in UK usage also mean the dry meal, as well as the prepared porridge?

You'd normally find it on the shelf with other Italian ingredients marked as polenta, and elsewhere, say the Indian section, it would be marked as cornmeal
 
So in that recipe, could the author have meant the dry cornmeal, not prepared polenta?

I would think that if the recipe meant prepared polenta it would have either listed it as "prepared" or included instructions for preparing it in the recipe. My bet is they did want cornmeal.

hi, has anyone some exciting ideas for what to do with tarragon? I collected a couple of kilos at a friends garden ... to make a tarragon desert (tarragon potica), I will also make some pesto and tarragon vinegar, and I will freeze a lot ... but there will still be more left.
I know I am silly ... but I just got a bit overexcited in the garden ^_^

For questions like that I do usually like to go to places like foodgawker, search and scroll... but that works better for ingredients that are normally the main part of a dish, not herbs, unfortunately.

I just really hate the idea that you can only make what someone else has bothered to come up with before. Surely there are a zillion things that are just obviously safe - adding spices or something for flavor, mixing fruits that are safe on their own, and so on.
 
I tend to agree with you, but I would't post an answer that says that.
Although in the trivial case of changing spicing, I would consider that in the noise.
