Stand your Ground laws in Texas allow you to shoot a person in the back as they are running away as long as you 'reasonably believed' that the preparator was fleeing after committing a burglary, robbery or theft, and you reasonably believe that it could not be protected or recovered by other means... Or if you believed that other means would expose you to substantial risk of death.
