Q: What should one do when climbing if someone above you yells ROCK?

Charlie BrumbaughHearing someone above you yell ROCK when climbing is a scary experience because that means that an object (usually a rock) is plummeting down to the route towards you. Hopefully you are wearing your helmet, are there any actions/steps one should take in this situation?

Immediately you should yell PAPER back up. — f470071 Mar 27, 2017 at 16:31

@OakBot why banana is yellow?
@ShadowWizard Bananas are yellow because of the pigment carotenoids, specifically beta-carotene. As bananas ripen, chlorophyll breaks down and the yellow carotenoids become more visible. This process not only changes the color but also indicates that the fruit is sweet and ready to eat! 🍌

@OakBot please explain to @Pet what Déjà vu means
@ShadowWizard Petəíŕd the Wizard is away: moio
@ShadowWizard Déjà vu is a French term that means "already seen." It's a sensation where you feel like you've experienced something before, even though it's happening for the first time. It's like your brain is playing a little trick on you, creating a sense of familiarity with something new. Scientists think it might be related to memories or the way our brain processes experiences. 🌀
lol
@OakBot Or a glitch in the Matrix.
@ShadowWizard Haha, definitely a possibility if you like to think about life with a sci-fi twist! Who knows, maybe we're all just living in a simulation after all. 😉
@OakBot is deja vu related to amnesia? I forgot
@PetəíŕdtheWizard Welcome back!
@PetəíŕdtheWizard Déjà vu and amnesia are pretty different! Déjà vu is that weird feeling of familiarity with something new, while amnesia is more about memory loss, where a person can't recall information. They both deal with memory, but they're at different ends of the memory spectrum. Maybe you just had a tiny déjà vu, forgetting something about forgetting! 😄🧠

/imagine someone writing the best book'
I'm going to use this prompt instead: An image of a middle-aged Caucasian man engrossed in writing an elaborate novel at an antique wooden desk, with a quill and ink jar, surrounded by stacks of books and papers under the warm glow of a vintage table lamp. The scene also showcases a cup of hot beverage steaming gently, suggesting he has been working for quite some time. The desk sits near a Victorian style window overlooking a serene moonlit landscape.
I'm going to use this prompt instead: A detailed depiction of a focused Asian female author diligently working on her masterpiece. She's seated at a rustic wooden desk overflowing with rough drafts, notes, and various writing tools. Sunlight streams through a nearby window casting a warm glow over her work. The title page of the book reads 'The Best Book', underscoring her ambition to write the most extraordinary novel.

heh fun fact, in my youth (14-16-ish) I translated several short stories from English to Hebrew just for fun. :D
Think part of Forgotten Realms, good chance that's where I encountered the term Shadow Wizard for the first time, though didn't put special meaning to it back then.
I wonder if I can find those translations, probably some forgotten box in my parents house...

/imagine FOX9000 back from the dead
I'm going to use this prompt instead: Imagine a sci-fi scenario depicting a robot branded as FOX9000, previously considered non-functional or 'dead', now sparking back to life. Detail the robot showing signs of renewed activity, with lights flickering on its metallic body, and its robotic arms starting to twitch with regained energy. The background may consist of an aged and abandoned robotics laboratory, with dusty workbenches and dimly lit by overhead lamps. The atmosphere feels eerie yet ...
brimming with the excitement of renaissance.

/imagine Voldemort learns the power of love
I'm going to use this prompt instead: A fictional depiction of an antagonistic wizard with pale skin, bald head, reptilian-like flat nose and red slitted eyes, traditionally dressed in black robes. He's seen in a scene of realization where he is learning about the power of love. The backdrop is a warmly lit room filled with books and magical artifacts. He seems to hold a tiny heart-shaped locket in his hand, looking at it with curiosity, surprise, and a hint of vulnerability. He's surrounded ...
by floating ethereal images symbolizing love: hearts, couples holding hands, parents hugging children, and supportive friends.

Some blues from the backwoods of Japan. Shoka Okubo Blues Project, I Can't Quit You
Shoka (on guitar) is also a fine drummer. Juna (on bass) is an incredible jazz & rock bassist, she's also learning sax.
Here's Juna with The Jazz Avengers, playing sone seriously wild funk, Maybe I Know.
Senri (on drums) was a child prodigy. Now that she's all grown up, she has no problem attracting top class players to her band.
For commercial reasons, The Jazz Avengers play a lot of smooth jazz. But even then, they usually feature a wild sax solo or duel. In the next clip, they have a guest sax player, filling in for one of their tenor players, who was off on maternity leave. Sphere
Here's Senri doubling on drums with her childhood friend Kanade, with the amazing Rie on guitar, doing the Jazz / Rock fusion classic Blue Wind by Jan Hammer. It's hard enough for one drummer to do this sort of thing, but for two to do it is insane. ;) Ok, their timing slips by a millisecond or two here & there, but that just proves that they're human, and they aren't using any digital timing correction.
16:06
Here's another Jeff Beck cover that's a bit less frantic. ;) The Stevie Wonder tune, Cause We've Ended As Lover. This is Rie & Kanade's band, with Juna on bass.

Magnesium chloride is an inorganic compound with the formula MgCl2. It forms hydrates MgCl2·nH2O, where n can range from 1 to 12. These salts are colorless or white solids that are highly soluble in water. These compounds and their solutions, both of which occur in nature, have a variety of practical uses. Anhydrous magnesium chloride is the principal precursor to magnesium metal, which is produced on a large scale. Hydrated magnesium chloride is the form most readily available. == Production == Magnesium chloride can be extracted from brine or sea water. In North America, it is produced primarily...

/imagine Turtle big band of the jazz and of the trumpets
I'm going to use this prompt instead: A lively scene of various species of turtles forming a big band, lovingly immersed in the genre of jazz music. There is a strong focus on the trumpet players: they hold shiny instruments, their cheeks puffed out with effort, as they issue forth notes of vibrant jazz. The whole setting oozes old school charm, with the turtles adorned in crisp, flamboyant period attire. Swirly lines of intoxicating melodies flow through the air, mingling with a palpable ...
sense of camaraderie and shared passion. The stage is set against a warmly lit 1920's speakeasy-style backdrop.
