@user430580 You'll be familiar with this type of tinkering as you start studying math. As you have asked "Did you come up with it yourself? " Answer is both yes and know. I discovered (2) consciously when I recently saw a problem in my high school math book and (6) I learned from a math research paper where author proved zeta(2) = pi^2/6 using this. So yeah, it feels cool when we understand something.
