Q: Is the word 'Jati' in the sense of caste used anywhere in Vedas?

Vedic ReaderI have read the word 'Jati' used in Nirukta XII,13 Krishna Jatiya (Black by birth) in the later Vedic literature. And also Dr. Ambedkar pointed out the word Jati has used even in Atharva Veda by quoting a western scholar. Can we find the term Jati used as in any such meaning even in Atharva Veda?

@Pandya namaskar Pandya ji. Yes not all but some. It’s not purely non sourced but 60-70% are because they don’t answer the OP or go off at a different tangent. About 20% of a lot of people will be merely because of no source. At least there’s a particular user after having a discussion with him to answer OP’s questions and that too with sources he refuses and says he knows site policy. Is it okay? Can you recommend what else to do?

@Archit ok. If answer doesn't even partially answer the question then feel free to flag as NAA.
For answers which are answering questions but no reliable sources are cited, use custom flag to mention sources are required ir citation post notice needs to be added.
Btw, I think we need questions to be fixed. Many times user is looking for opinions or advices:(
I think referring new questioner to how to ask page may be good idea.

hi Pandya :)
maybe more Encourage contributors to be more thorough, and whats
appropriate of course according to the specific q & a, and also more Exact citation than typically seen: eg, Mahabharata is big, there are printings of the 1890s English Translation with varying pagination, and some 'new' versions leave out a large percentage of it, so maybe eg ask persons to include if possible specific Name of Source, Edition, Book, Verse, Page number, Exact quote or word, etc, could be helpful; Thank you :)

@Pandya so you deleted my answer hinduism.stackexchange.com/a/40776/20829 stating that it doesn't answer the question. But what is the policy on such questions which are posed in a manner to get answers that are factually incorrect? I have shown in my answer that all those references are incorrect. Yet, my "really correct" answer is deleted, whereas the factually wrong answer is allowed just because it literally answers the question by providing factually incorrect references.

Why did either side wait...

hanugmVedas are highest in hierarchy of Sanathan dharma. Most celebrated avatars never deny Vedas and in fact followed and authorised Vedas. Is there any possibility of an anti-Vedic avatar?
