@BhargavRao New question subject - philosopher's stone OR Chintamani . Ask a different q. about this rather than just mention of itt and some story. Like the root of the concept of Chintamani OR philosopher's stone in vedic literature etc. There are couple of scriptures where this stone is mentioned like Hata Yoga Pradipika etc.

How do Hindus regard the Baphomet?

@BhargavRao 🙂

7:42 AM
@NogShine Perhaps declined by mistake, and the mod went back and took care of it?

I was about to type that in chat.
@William pro tip, use wiki:Baphomet to directly link the wiki article.

anyways the baphomet represents satanism and has the left and right hand path but in Hinduism it is part of the religion.
the left and right hand path that is
I guess my question is which predates which?

There is no concept of Satan in Hinduism

hmm so the Baphomet represents what then?
have you ever heard of such a creature?

7:48 AM
I think, it represents, nothing. There isn't any such creature, as far as I know.

is there evil in hinduism?

The thing is, in Abrahamic religions, the God represents good and Satan represents evil. Here there's a single entity called parabrahman who represents both.

There is evil, as in evil spirits, and stuff, but there isn't anything like evil as such.
@William Aha! That answer reinforces my comments here. Thanks for that.

yes :)

Q: Is the language of all the four Vedas similar or is there difference in language of the four Vedas too?

Anubhav JhaI know that in sama Veda many mantras of rigveda and yajur veda are repeated so that must mean that language is similar throughout Vedas, but does the vedic Sanskrit change between rig, yajur and atharva Veda?
