Q: Which is the oldest known reference to a 7 day week in Hindu scriptures?

user13107I thought of this question after reading about day-wise restrictions on shaving/haircut These weekly day-wise restrictions must have started after a 7 day week was established. Which is the oldest known reference to a 7 day week (or a particular day of the week) in Hindu scriptures?

@Pandya @TheDestroyer I was looking at Area 51 proposals and I found Satya Sai and Incredible India proposals.
@TheDestroyer What is interesting is There is a discussion question about it's on-topic on our site. All the users who answered said He is not a part of Hinduism.

Q: Is this a part of Hinduism?

i--Proposal: SathyaSai Which or what type of questions would not be on topic on Hinduism SE?

They all said he is a spiritual Guru and not specific to Hinduism. By this statement, we have to consider His discourses as sources or not? This question rose in my mind.
This has more followers than Sanskrit proposal :/

Q: Can we refer to every ancient document as "scripture"?

user13107I am having a problem with nomenclature when asking questions. What is the correct word to use when referring to Hinduism related documents before book publishing began? Is it scripture? Are there any documents that can NOT be referred as a scripture, but still are very old?

@Sinister They are all from Anantapur. All those profiles might belong to Satya Sai followers.
