@ThoriumBR shocking… and in regards to that question, I guess you gotta start from somewhere
you can start reading the configuration panels
Those removed are thanks to the fact that using SE on phone-screen-sized-screens is an absolute disaster
Oh I will
learning takes time... and pentesting without knowing how the tool works is a great way to cause damage
and a fine for breaching a system without permission can damage the career
uses SQL-map, risk: high, aggression: high

Would writing API security tests for a website that one works for require written permission from superiors?
The tests simply check if all endpoints return 401.
(assuming permission was obtained, but not written)
Or ensure no timing attacks are possible on specific endpoints.
They contain **no params/body**.
if you boss knows about it, and allowed you to, send him an email or message saying "according to our talk, I will be doing this and that" and that's it
and if he says "no", don't go ahead
it's easy to say "I never say that" when nothing is written down... an email is written down, with exact what you will do
Ok thanks.
Security is fun. Keeping things safe(r) with a few lines of code.
Is there a list I could get other security-API ideas apart from OWASP API top 10 ?
owasp is a great starting point
