My SOP is to close any question that I can answer in under 5 minutes using google and the question's title or keywords (so. many. questions ...). I'm now having to consider closing any question that can be answered by ChatGPT... Basic research just got so much easier, and harder. ChatGPT provides an answer. The trick is figuring out if it is correct, but one should at least start there as a starting point.
ChatGPT is like Wikipedia; The knowledge is there. And you're a fool if you don't at least check it. But it doesn't mean that it is right. Now, if only it could supply references and citations, we'd be golden...

I found ChatGPT useful when I know how to explain something obvious but there's too much info, so I ask it and reorder my ideas
