It keeps trying to send things twice then timing out.
So like, is it true that 7zip encryption doesn't use a salt? I've seen conflicting information in multiple places. In two places I see that it doesn't use a salt (and even see the source code commented out for salt handling), and in another I see that it uses salted SHA256 via PBKDF2.
I mean thinking quite literally, of course it's salted if PBKDF2 is used, but that doesn't mean that it's actually being used as a salt to protect from e.g. rainbow tables.
Meh. I'm just the kind of person who argues for the sake of it.
I have no problem just not discussing it (or at least strictly minimizing discussion).
Completely unrelated to either security or identity politics but uh... have any of you used HiSoft C before? Or have significant experience with K&R style C (from '84)?
HiSoft C for either CP/M or the ZX Spectrum, that is.
It has an editor that's even less intuitive than ed...
And it's so weird to think of int, short, and long as all being 16 bits...
well, I'd be interested in continuing this, because of the most of the people I know would mostly say, "ah yes, that sounds fair" and move on. you know, lefty snowflake liberals
@forest the studies I have seen do not really back that up at all. And neither does my own limited study of my kids - they all played with all toys. There literally was no preference for a toy gun or a doll no matter what gender.
