That seems like the fault of an extension. Try uninstalling it.

@forest Hmm OK. This must be it?
I never installed that. I deleted & reported it. So far so good, I get past Google without that super-annoying screen. Thanks!

Usually it is easy to spot things installing, but sometimes applications will bundle things like this and it can be tricky to spot @Jolenealaska

That must be what it did. That is just straight-up malware isn't it? I mean there's no legitimate reason to even make something like that, is there?

@Jolenealaska Well, there are legitimate privacy reasons for using a user agent switcher. You may not want to disclose your OS and browser version to every website you visit. Beyond privacy, switching the UA can be helpful for debugging, to discover website versions optimized for mobile, etc. Or you might use the Googlebot UA to circumvent paywalls...

or some sites just sucking.
I use the built in user agent switcher on edge for downloading windows 10 isos, since I prefer those to the media creation toolkit ;p
@Arminius that said, is that really a user agent switcher?

From the details it looks like that one, which would be legitimate: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-agent-switcher-for-c/…
If Jolenealaska actually had that extension installed, we probably can't tell

Has anyone ever reported a vulnerability to the ZDI program (or knows someone that has and is willing to talk about it)? I would like to have some information about the process (I have already read the public information).

@NotNow Why ZDI?

11:48 PM
@Arminius The vendor doesn't have a bug-bounty program despite being a big player. ZDI would allow me to be paid while publicly disclosing the issue and getting it fixed. There are probably better paying options, but I don't like the idea of selling 0-days in the black/gray market.
Are there any good reasons to choose other options? I know of other programs that do the same thing as ZDI, but I didn't find any researcher review on them.
