Earlier this year we released the results of our annual developer survey. With more than 50,000 responses fielded from 173 countries, it was the largest and most comprehensive survey of the programmer workforce that has ever been conducted.

Hi all, does anyone know of good threat online intel IPv4 lists, for malware or c2 servers? I am writing a short python script that uses regex to grab the IPv4s and feeds them into SIEM for the rules to test against. I have few lists already, but this place is always good for finding out new info.

The lists them self need include all the IPv4s on the page directly, it doesn't matter if there is other info on the page as the regex will only grab the IPv4 addrs. Any help appreciated.

What is intel ipv4 list?
There are some DNS servers you can query
But the list depends on what kind of service specifically, if you'd merge all historical lists you would get most of the address space
Was SHA1/MD5 really the right way to hash passwords in '08?

Q: What is the easiest way to encrypt a password when I save it to the registry?

LisaCurrently I'm writing it in clear text oops!, it's an in house program so it's not that bad but I'd like to do it right. How should I go about encrypting this when writing to the registry and how do I decrypt it? OurKey.SetValue("Password", textBoxPassword.Text);

It was nt
It wasnt
It's brought up in several answers, it seems: One Two Three.
SHA1 was abused from at least 2006
Far as I can tell, the SHA1/MD5 complaints in that thread didn't start until '11.

MD5 was crackable since it was invented, that may go for SHA1 as well
Everything's crackable since the day it's been invented. It's just a matter of whether someone's figured out (or published) how to do it yet.
Yeah, but MD5 was released with flaws in mind, and SHA1 was abused on the net since 2006

Man, how long has it been since I was here last - and half the starwall is stuff that I starred? Place really has been dead.

If you and your friends arent here it doesnt mean it's dead
It's quite better than it used to be
There's some interested ideas circulating and not the same thing over again like password hashing
There's also less down-voting taking place which is improvement
Also there's less poison overall going on
There was a lot of other issues... hopefully it's better
