I moved the dehumidifier from the basement to the first floor. They do make these industrial desiccant packets that are intended to draw moisture out of buildings and such. Apparently, my boss' car is really bad for trapping humidity so he keeps some in there.

anyway, if it's possible one simple trick is to wet a big sheet and let it dry over the whole surface of your windows... it works pretty fast but won't last long if it's sunny

You will not get any sunlight in that room, and you'll still have to deal with radiative heat from the walls and window, but the greenhouse effect will be largely mitigated.

@Adnan If it's generally pretty dry what you can also do is get something nice and wet and blow a fan over it. At 50%Rh nominal you're borderline on how effective that would be long term.
