Q: What should we look for in answers about prophecy?

James SheweyIn the past, we have defined what we look for in good answers - for example, answers need to show their work and follow site distinctives Recently some discussion on whether questions about prophecy should be on topic have arisen. While it is clear to me that these questions should me, it may be...

@PaulVargas I don't think you should need a login for that article (if you're interested) -- it's on open access ... I think? :/

@Dɑvïd Are you familiar with the WIVU/ETCBC database?

@Susan @PaulVargas Ah, right - I think I must have been already logged in (loginned) so didn't notice.
@Susan No -- but I think I should be! I have used SHEBANQ, but hadn't made a connection back to this database. Thanks!

@elikakohen I sent you a mod message explaining what to do/not do which would have shown up in your inbox notifications on the site and in your email box.
@elikakohen For the love of orthography please, please, please stop breaking up your comments into A/B/C numbered segments. Dividing your thoughts up into normal sentences and writing them starting with a capital and ending with a period will communicate your ideas more clearly and drive fewer people bananas.

@elikakohen Your communication would be a lot more effective if you would let your words speak for themselves. Cluttering them up with lettered break points and assorted text formatting styles makes it very difficult to follow your train of thought. Reading your writing when you format like this is like trying to listen to a sermon through a voice scrambler — the weird effects the device makes are so distracting that it's hard to focus on the actual message. — Caleb ♦ 20 hours ago
Text styling is one of those things where less is more man. I'm all for formatting things for readability and to give content some semantic meaning, but this is so excessive it reduces the clarity. You have as much bold here as normal text, 3 sizes, italics for no apparent reason, and the whole thing is organized in a way that makes it hard to just read. One's eye can only skip around this; it can't be just read because there are so many visual diversions the main point is smothered. Please consider using less formatting and thinking about the overall flow in your posts. — Caleb ♦ Apr 26 '16 at 8:34
