@ScottS Re-opened, thanks for the edits.

@Davïd I guess I just don’t see how there is room for textual criticism in any framework that considers one text to be (textually) authoritative. Maybe that’s true within certain communities, but not in academic Biblical scholarship to my understanding. I feel like that is the background for misunderstandings like WoundedEgo’s. (Is there an NA29?)
I’m evidently understanding “textually authoritative” as something different than you are. But no, I’m not suggesting we should change the wiki. Just trying to figure it out.
BTW, is Tov estimated (by whoever estimates...) to be particularly inclined to the LXX (for textual questions), or particularly critical of the MT? He seems to be willing to reject the MT more often than I would have thought (i.e. before I ever thought about such things), but I don't know if that's par for the course.

@Susan Since you previously commented on my "atheism in the Bible" answer over at C.SE, I thought you might be interested in my expanded and improved answer. (The original question was closed as off-topic and is set to be auto-deleted, so I found a more appropriate question and made it into a more thorough answer than the off-topic question allowed.)

@David I haven't had a chance to figure it out enough to form a question, but since the OP hasn't expressed any interest and it seems like it would probably be a considerable change to what he intended, maybe I'll just leave it and eventually ask the question myself. (But I have a very long Q queue...maybe somebody else will.) Unless you or whoever can edit to ask the question without making it a different question, in which case feel free.
