Wow, quite the excessive deletion of GoneQuiet's posts today. I'm sad to see it, but not totally surprised.

@ScottS "...quite the excessive deletion..." - My sense is that the appropriate adjective here would be "complete". (And yesterday, actually, to be precise! ;)

4:08 PM
@Davïd "Complete" did not seem appropriate (at least yet), as here is a question still active, and 14 other questions at present.
But maybe those were just missed.

@Davïd I think perhaps “extensive” was more the sense of it, since, as Scott pointed out, it wasn’t actually complete. And, since we’re being precise (technically, I think accurate would be a better choice here), much of the meta deletion actually was done today, UTC and Tim Post time. :-P

@ScottS @Susan The answers have been removed completely: 0 Answers This user has not answered any questions.

@PaulVargas Yes, but ScottS started this discussion using the word “post.” For which the term “complete deletion” is not appropriate. Exacting is the word of the day. :-)

@Susan I suspect that @Davïd could have referred to that.
OR perhaps to a possible state in the future.

@PaulVargas Perhaps, but to the extent that he was “correcting” ScottS’s choice of adjective, that would have been inaccurate. (Note: I did not start this! I only perpetuate absurdity.)
@PaulVargas @ScottS To my knowledge there is no plan to delete any questions on the main site. The threshold of “compelling” required to delete questions is pretty high since other people have put work into answering those.

@Susan However, the user can edit his own question. Right?

@PaulVargas Yes. They just can’t be deleted under normal circumstances after they are answered.

Q: Deleting My Own Questions By Using Edit

CuriosityI am aware that this type of question has been asked before. However, my question is probably slightly different from what other people have asked. I have a question that I posted that has an answer to it from someone else. If I try to delete the question, I'm informed that I cannot perform tha...

@PaulVargas OK, but that is essentially vandalism, and a moderator would likely roll back and lock promptly. In this case, AFAIK the OP has not voiced an objection to the existence of these questions anyway.

Q: "for my thirst they gave me sour wine" and anything else?

servantofWiser He said, "I thirst". (John 19:28) They gave me poison for food, and for my thirst they gave me sour wine to drink. (Psalm 69:21) So, now John compares "I thirst" with Psalm, so now my doubt is, did this happen "They gave me poison for food"? Are there any verses which talk about such t...

Do “comparisons" need to be “fulfilled"?

> This statement of Jesus is interpreted by John as fulfilment of the prophecy given in Psalm 69:21 (cf. Psalm 22:15), hence the quotation from John's Gospel includes the comment "to fulfil the scriptures". -- From cited source in the question.

@PaulVargas Thanks. I guess regardless of whether we’re talking about “fulfilling prophecy” or “fulfilling comparisons,” my thinking is that it fulfills it as far as it goes, and beyond that....why should we think that it needs to do so? I don’t really see the contradiction the OP posits.

@Susan (Was meant to be a literary allusion but would have been better off keeping my yap mumble mumble mmbl........)

@Davïd Over my head. Or on a different plane. Or something. And I share your sentiment that I’d have been better off keeping....much of what I say....
