@Dan If we do have a tag I don't think either of these summaries is ideal. The first is too overtly doctrinal and the latter has too many weasel words. I would just sidestep the issue of deity and purpose entirely and just go with the bits about a flood mentioned in the text.

I'll just leave this hear for now and maybe Caleb, Gone Quiet, Jack, Dan, Jon Ericson (i.e. those of you who have been with BH for quite some time) might see it.

As a new user , there's something I've noticed re: different religions, beliefs, etc. via a question (or 2 or more) such as a recent one from Gone Quiet.

Maybe you guys have already considered it.

I'll speak only for me for now.

If I had read something such as a notice from you. sort of a team, to just keep in mind we have members of different religions, beliefs, etc. here, it would probably have been helpful.

I'd be able to keep in mind things that might bother some but not others.

Maybe that would help for new users and others such as you.

...That's just a thought.

I believe I might have seen a notice from the team as I first began.

I think they push the 'help' pages at new users, but most don't give them much of a look unfortunately!

my view is that all truth is a subset of religion, not the other way round. Others will be spread out on that spectrum.
