OK... Got impatient.
There's the question that we really need everyone to vote on one way or the other. If we can build a community consensus on this, we might be able to persuade StackExchange to remove the intrinsic blacklist.
Also, don't forget to vote the "NO" answer down. :P

@Richard, do you think the dating of the book of Genesis and the book of Job plays a role in the question of whether or not the same adversary is found in both?

@Ami Oh, maybe. But I could see the question of authorship playing a larger role. Really, though, I think that comes down to the doctrinal lens through which a person views these events.

@Ami Like Richard, I think doctrine plays a big part in the standard answer to the question. We have almost no evidence about the relative dates of the books, so usual guesses are based on doctrine, it seems.
