Getting back home, will implement some more ISyntax tonight.

13 hours later…
15:46
@RubberDuck just pushed this. Added FindAllComments() method to SyntaxTreeNode - it returns all Instructions that have a comment... but more work will be needed if you want to make a Selection out of the actual comment
16:36
Oh! Cool @Mat'sMug! I'll check it out. I'm working on creating the UI namespace now. Well, not right now. I was earlier.
I'll get back to it later tonight. Did you see the latest issue?
16:59
@RubberDuck I'd like to add a treeview that shows all project components and their members. Just the ProcedureNodes for now; something between the project explorer and the object browser, with clickable nodes that navigate to the selected member.
17:11
also, don't worry about the unused using statements:
R# does it in 2 clicks :)
17:22
Okay. In that case I think I'm going to create a pre-release on my fork until we can get the code tree up and running. I have a new project coming up that I want to use the addin for.
Duly noted about the using a. Just keeping things tidy. =;)-
does CreateToolWindow really belong under the Menu class?
17:37
I've been trying to figure out where to put it @Mat'sMug. No. It doesn't belong there. It's just a common piece of logic. It belongs to some other class that gets injected into the menus.
Could this class be something like a DockablePresenterBase abstract class?
It just doesn't seem to belong anywhere and I don't know what the right abstraction is. Yeah. Maybe, but not really.
The problem is the way the dockable window is created. The control gets initialized and embedded into a host, which in turn gets embedded into a native window.
I see
Window doesn't create the host... So, yeah. I'm at a loss.
what happens to the toolWindow object reference?
oh it's passed to the TestEngine
hmm
I think I have a refactoring idea
I'll write the CodeExplorerWindow and see if it can work
18:10
I think I just fixed the StartLine/EndLine issue on LogicalCodeLine
        private IEnumerable<LogicalCodeLine> SplitLogicalCodeLines(string projectName, string componentName, string content)
        {
            const string lineContinuationMarker = "_";

            var lines = content.Split('\n').Select(line => line.Replace("\r", string.Empty)).ToList();

            var logicalLine = new StringBuilder();
            var startLine = 0;
            var isContinuing = false;
            for (var index = 0; index < lines.Count; index++)
            {
                if (!isContinuing)
Hmm.... fixing the UI namespace is going to require cleaning up the registry.
But it only needs done once.
so we're moving all UI subfolders/namespaces into one?
Yeah. That's the plan.
awesome
Should make it easier to abstract common elements in the long run.
18:14
and to eventually move presentation into Rubberduck.Presentation.dll :)
18:25
@Mat'sMug What's that?
it's the icon for a class module.. you think we can use that in the Code Explorer tree?
^^ method
^^ property
I have a whole bunch
Is it from VS? Probably should stay away from Microsoft's stuff.
But, otherwise, yeah. Those are awesome.
^^ remember this
=)
I have a clean build on the reorg. Need to merge in your last push.
But I'll be back in a bit.
18:29
I need to make smaller commits
Smaller commits == less issues when merging
yeah
I think I'll use these icons for now, and make a note to replace them, perhaps with some icons in the Fugue Icons suite.. there's like 3K to choose from.
last thing I want is MS issuing a lawsuit for copyright infringement for a few stupid icons
but it'd be nice to have icons that a VBA dev already knows and recognizes..
this would look great... but damn glyfz.com/glyfz2010.htm
18:45
> Donate now so we can afford some decent icons.
Seriously though, I wouldn't use Microsoft's icons at all. You know how those, "fix this later" things are.
yeah
I'd just buy the "Development Set" icons
but the licensing makes it complicated
screw them
> • Images. You may copy, distribute, and deploy the images in the Image Library in programs that you develop with Visual Studio 2013.
what's that?
(downloading)
if it's what I think it is, ...you've just found Pandora's icon box dude!
There wouldn't happen to be one for VS 6.0, huh?
@RubberDuck I like how the Master branch will become the release build ..and force me to work off a branch :)
oh this is awesome
^^ add class
there's over 7K icons in that download!
19:22
Idk. There's still one from 2010 though.
Lol. Yeah. Feature branches brother.
I did suggest that before I realized that GitHub supports release snapshots though.
So, the master branch can still be the bleeding edge, but we're less likely to break something if we're working from branches.
there's.. no "Method" icon :s
there's "friend", "private", "protected", "sealed", ..but not just "method"
^^ or there's VS 2013 icons
Really?? Lame.
same for properties, events...
I think actual 2013 icons might look out of place.
yeah
lol "might"
19:30
Lol. Yeah. The quotes are important there.
we could use the "shortcut" icons
So, if you have an existing workbook for testing the unit tests, you'll have to remove the reference. Save it, close it. Then reopen it and add it back.
*When I push the branch
I'll make a note of it.
@RubberDuck what's that about?
Not sure entirely. But otherwise the application.run returns a com error and the tests return inconclusive. I think it's cause I messed with the namespaces.
messing with namespaces without R#? you're courageous!
19:52
Wasn't too bad. Only had to reset the repo once... Lol
