I was replying to the last comment that Geremia posted („ What is the treatment of an ectopic pregnancy called?“), and couldn’t find an answer to that. My apologies if I missed that. I am aware that laparoscopy is the term of the operation technique.
@anongoodnurse In all case reports I have found where the ectopic pregnancy was not surgically treated with a salpingectomy (and also in those with), it is referred to as „laparoscopic removal“ or „We performed laparoscopy“. This is also how this is communicated by OBGYNs in my first language. My argument was therefore that the generic term would just be laparoscopy/laparoscopic removal (or of course laparotomy in case of open surgery)
