Q: A certain partition of 130

Bernardo Recamán SantosGiven a multiset of positive integers, its P-graph is the loopless graph whose vertex set consists of those integers, any two of which are joined by an edge if they have a common divisor greater than 1, that is, they are not relatively prime. There are 5,371,315,400 partitions of 130 of which 507...

Q: Contradictional Ceremony Puzzle

athinCan you find out who is the killer behind this wedding ceremony case? Your friend asked you to attend a wedding ceremony of his younger brother, Mike. The ceremony ran smoothly and lively. Mike and his wife, Cindy, looked blissful. However, it didn’t last long. That afternoon, Mike was murdered...

1 hour later…
6:51 AM
The bassist is/was Chris Squire. The guitarist is Steve Howe. This piece still brings me to tears:
@MusicTeacher asked me why. It was my turn to say "listen!"
She concurred.
I've played with one of the best guitarists in the world, but Steve Howe is the best.
(Not the one i'm not mentioning, but another good one:)
And yes, everyone is tied for best.
But come up with someone else than Howe who can triplet at lightspeed while working 12 bar. Please.
Look all that up.
I'm tired of talking down.
Don't need to here!
This is a wonderland of uptakers.
Redwood in that song is a town, not a Seqouia.
Been to both.
Weren't i a rat i'd be a lucky dog.
^ Slanted in your honr, @Rubio. Don't take it literally.
It's a great song!
And afterpiece.
(And repeat. Sorry. The repertoire is limited.)
Perhaps it's time to take the doggies on the road. I need a new vignette. And they're biting for pavement.
And it's just about the right time of night. (11:19 pm)
I scare my neighbrs. Just enough to not have them call officials.
I also delight one neighbr.
Albert sees through the clouds.
(Generic names are safe.)
(I still envy those who reveal theirs. I did. Didn't do any good, so back to guise.)
Learn English from idiot savants!
And while at it, some music.
It'll do you good. It's almost time to take the show on the road.
The feral kitten (actually quite more by now, years later, supercat) stopped me.
}And now someone's fccing with internet again. Why don't you stop taking turns?!{
}Let us frolic.{
}What is the point? You're being paid to do this. But at what price?{
}Learn English in the worst way. Or else. Perhaps this is just backwash.{
}Doesn't seem to be.{ Don't make me go beyond braces.
Just stop it!
Do something good.
Anyone so capable can find a softer pillow.
I know you're watching.
I've taken the hard route, many times.
Do it just once.
And get over it.
. . .
Thank you.
That's a nice way of putting it.
(Yes, we're witnessing internet battles.)
(Join the cause.)
Just realiszed: If there's any place to recruit it's here! I've only been here for fun so far.
Help solve the world's problems!
Not easy.
And come to think of it, some of those here are already aboard. Thank you!
There's more room.
Too timid? The only way to learn to type is by stumbling.
The only way to learn to code is by typing.
(Yeh, i'm feeling a little code-happy at the moment.)
Happens every now and then.
My happy feet are fully resoled. Took a couple of years. In another few minutes they'll pad me to a new vignette. This is the right time of night.
Where i left a bill last time, i found two! Someone is following in my footsteps.
Those bills were intentionally creased to give a message.
Life splendor!
]And now you've focused on me. I don't need internet. This is not my weak spot. This is my playground. Don't bother.[
] But enjoy the ride if you must. [
Oh wow. Just went empty brackets with spaces to boot. Battle's on.
And after i flowered. Stop it again and some more.
Eat your perpetrators.
(Learn English in the worst way. It can get worse.)
Okay, now it's about time to insult the sidewalk.
Think i'll meet my favrite individuals.
Mmmm, i know it's not a playground. Music soothes.
When i go out i step on glass, on purpose, again.
That's not metaphorical.
It was two years before being able to do that, again.
Vive!
I also step on lives as if they were fragile. La Vie!
Only when the outer garment shatters do you feel what's sheltered.
Life lesson. Time to step out.

9:06 AM
Took a few missteps but out the door i go.

Q: Unfair tiling puzzle

theonetruepathYour goal is to make two squares of the same size from a set of rectangles. Each of the rectangles has an aspect ratio of $1:2$. Select two sets of rectangles from the list: 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24 Some of the rectangles will be in both squares, no rectangl...

Luck be with, i'll be return with a new vignette. This is the time of day (1:10 am)

10:17 AM
^ Thank you again and again, @Mithrandir! The recent walk didn't produce a new vignette.
I did get to talk both going and coming with the only neighbr who frees me from my shell.
They said, "I'm digging my grave."
We both knew it wasn't literal.
But to learn speech from exotica is better than expressionable.
At the store, i implored, "Please tell me what language. I'm a freak for that." Answer: Punjabi.
Learn a new language every day.
Oh, guess that walk did produce a vignette or two.
^ it includes a euphonium line that can't be duplicated by cornu.
Euphonium has a throat, not a pipe.
If you know what that means, wow.
It means you understand both mathematics and wind instruments.
(Tuba has belly, more than a throat. Understood.)
(I learned on all extremes, from piccolo trumpet to contrabassoon. Euphonium is the most euphonious.)
(I play it from piccolo range to subcontra. What fun.)
Music is fun! Apologies to those who don't know.
I'm into wind instruments.
And envy strings.
(Yes i'm more deeply into linguistic implements. Not a whole lotta difference.)
I didn't know how to program until i found out how to play jazz. The key is to play along.
The structure is all about.
If you don't know what that means, you don't know yet.
(Remember, i'm done talking down. It's uphill from here.)
(Parentheses from me are a warm embrace.)
And that's a cold threat. Recent internet wars seem to have abated. Whew.
That song was written by someone else, but not performed as well.
"And when your poor heart is on the mend, i just might pass your way again." Lyrics!
(Misquoted on purpose.)
No action here? The retreads are vying in competition with the tender digits.
It really is nice to have durable soles again. Almost too nice.

Q: Who stole the flying car in Hogwarts?

SimbaDuring a trial in a Hogwarts court, Ron claimed that the Flying Ford Anglia car was stolen by Hermione. Then Hermione and Harry gave testimonies which, for some reason, were not recorded. Later on in the trial it was found that the car was stolen by one of these three defendants, and moreover, ...

Think i'll go out just to hear Punjabi again. Because i hunger. And not for food.
And because the dog sled is barking.
After you've spent a quarter century without shoes, then lost the ability, then regained it, it's hard to sit still.

11:44 AM
And it felt good! What a temperature swing. 40 F difference.
Now the SE genies are steaming me. It's about time.
I'm not that other person.
I play for good.
Leave well enough alone.
But thank you for noticing!
That other person plays for fun, far as i can tell.
I'm not that other person. That's their game.
(Actually i play for fun too, just in a way where everyone else gets to play along. That other person hasn't learned as much yet.)
In other words, a nice walk. The dog sled is happy again.
Those puppies need to romp snow. Didn't quite find snow this time, but freezing enough temperature.
If you haven't trod snow in bare feet, you haven't required a hot footbath.
I'm looking forward to the next time.
Came close this time. Sweet chills.
^ HHHHH! Never saw that before. It's a masterpiece.
Learn another day.
And to you feral feline. You still have so much to learn:
You ravage my drapes until i open the door. Then you scamper inside.
^ These are all-star songs, each with hidden meaning. Each with musical standing even without hidden meaning.
^ for you, @ffao.
Guessing you know that translation.
Correct me if wrong.
(Wrong time of day, understood.)
(It doesn't look like straight Spanish. Might be crooked in any language.)
I love language show-offs!
And i always ask for the translatory dictionary.

Q: The counterfeit coin

crayonYou have 9 coins. One of the nine is counterfeit. The counterfeit coin can be distinguished by weight - it is heavier than the rest. Using a balance scale only twice, find the counterfeit coin.

AK, you are my evil twin.
Then again, we could take turns.
Then again, i'm too blatant.
You for some reason shadow the corners.
Apparent to those who corner the shadows.
You add fun to my life while irritating others'.
Thank you, benign nuisance.
For anyone not in the know, AK is like glass shattered underfoot. Someone got there first and when it's our turn the best move is to roll in it.
(That's more true than you need to know. When i find myself in a field of broken glass i make like a blanket.)

I'd generally not advise rolling in broken glass.

I don't writhe.

Just breathe ;)

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
@Mithrandir , gotta folllow: Just what do you advise in broken glass?!?

12:44 PM
Make sea glass.

Ay! Cryptic.

(multas!)
(that's a combination of languages to say many thanks)
(multaa kiitoksi and moltas gracias)
(I go hybrid when astray.)
(Thank you for taking me there.)
Most of the above sentences don't need parentheses.
Especially "multas!"
Molto aficionado!
Now i've strayed Romantic.
Must keep it cool. I can retreat machine code.
JRST 0
(That means "jump and restore all flags to 0.")
(The jump is to 0, not the restore. Just in case any supernerds are watching.)
. . . Gotta stop using parentheses! And stop showing off.
I do miss my mentors, though.
They were Titans in their time.
They produced much of what works here now.
Before most of who take credit.
History records the braggarts and promoters, not the mechanics.
The memory-go-round is likely to touch on the mechanics. It just needs to find worthy words.
These are those who taught me to program. Taught me algorithms. Took me places where synthesiszers were developed along with mouses.
Yeah, i used a wooden proto-mouse.
And got to play an early synth. I was a lucky child.
Still am, more than half a century later. Those Titans made it look difficult. I try to make it look easy.
It actually was difficult back then.
. . . Yawn . . . Fall asleep to Rip Van Humn . . .
But it was truly exciting at the time.
(More than) Two champions had to get sexual reassignment just to survive.
While programming the past future, which is now.
Really, we're running their code.
Signed, lucky to have been there.
. . . So this is another monologue . . . If you're paying attention, i hope you hear all the others i bespeak . . .

Q: Find the combination algorithm for 16 digit numbers

Gun arvesFind the comination algorithm for numbers that will be generated. And the numbers are: 0535 8549 9933 3564 0500 7197 6709 9534 0531 3170 7802 8731 These number are not generated randomly. These number allways start with 05

I blame society, not nature.
But some of our coding heros are heroines as well!
(Probably not news by now. Sorry. I saw transitions and blame society.)
(And yes, some are just plain heroines or heros.)

2:20 PM
Certainly a repeat, but too good to keep down:

Bolero!

Ignore the Chippendales. This is Plisetskaya's curtain call.
(And if you don't know a cellist who's had to play this piece, consider yourself lucky. Same 3 notes. Orchestral cello parts can be even worse than trombone.)
Then again, if you happen to know the cellist who led me to the above statement, consider yourself super lucky!
@TheGreatEscaper , I'm still looking for a good example of polo. There's on in Carmen but i can't find it.
And Spartacus (or Gayaneh?) has a splendid one. They're just not titled appropriately.
Until then:
(Yes, that's not polo.)
Polo is in 3.
Beethoven has a good one too.
^ There it is. Not an easy find.
(Still looking for the Beethoven and Khachaturian polos.)
I don't dance but polos make me try. Waltzes aren't the same.

3:06 PM
And there that is:
How i love polo. Still looking for the Beethoven.
^ Actually that's in 6. Understood.
^ 6 is, in a way, hasty 3.
^And it goes 12 (4 and 8). Music is a joy ride!
^ That piece is so much fun to play. On euphonium as written for piano.
Probably fun on other instruments as well!
Khachaturian published a piano version of Gayaneh and Spartacus, written for a flautist sweetheart! I have a copy.
The chords require every finger and quite a few toes. And a flute.
(Still looking for the Beethoven polo but pretty happy to have found the Khachaturian in the meanwhile. Listening a few times.)
Am i the only one who speaks music here? Doubt that. And if you don't, yet, i'll help.
@MusicTeacher learned something by having me explain a topographic map in syncretic terms.
She hadn't seen a topo map before.
I took her places.
She returned the favr.
Syncretism () is the combining of different beliefs, while blending practices of various schools of thought. Syncretism involves the merging or assimilation of several originally discrete traditions, especially in the theology and mythology of religion, thus asserting an underlying unity and allowing for an inclusive approach to other faiths. Syncretism also occurs commonly in expressions of arts and culture (known as eclecticism) as well as politics (syncretic politics). == Nomenclature == The English word is first attested in the early 17th century, from Modern Latin syncretismus, drawing on...

3:28 PM
yo

ho ho!

And you brought a carnation! Thank you.

(blushes)

What up on your planet? (My planet seems in plain sight.)

3:30 PM
Yesterday was a kite flying festival thing...that was very tiring.

Were you the kite?

And right now, I am tired without any reason, physically and mentally
That would have been fun

Rest up! That song is making me giggle beyond typing.

same :p

(That took a few tries.)
Now i'm cackling.

3:33 PM
How not to feel tired without any reason mate?

Dear diary!
You have a story tell.

I am interested.

When you're ready.

Always

Manshu can't fool me. I learn fromu.
Through osmosis when necessary.
But do continue to fool with me.

3:36 PM
BEEF AND CHEESE, BEEF AND CHEESE!!!

Side order of fries!

And a coke for sure.
You'd like that too, right?

I don't need coke.
I need sedation.
Food helps.

Ohk. Then beer for my friend.
ohh..then beer bear for my friend

It helps, gotta admit.
It also reveals what you've been up to.
Drive safely!

3:41 PM
haven't seen you on puzzling much, @manshu

@manshu led the way!

@thecoder16 I am TSL wanderer.
@humn I have been up to nothingness

You are stellar.

outerstellar

Outasight!

3:44 PM
Vroom!!
my spaceship makes so much sound that you can hear it even in space.

Kiittis.
(That means "thank you" in native slang that won't (shouldn't) show up in a search.)

It's not new though. The spaceships in many scifi scientifically true stories like starwars had sounds.

Yeah, in vacuum!

@humn And I thought you found a kitten to play with.

That kitten grew up and is still rearranging the circuitry.
I want to hear about yours!

3:48 PM
Vacuum places are so overrated. They aren't even vacuum.
I haven't seen my kitten after I furiously patted her.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
You're so gentle online.

I am so ashamed of myself sometimes. And the other times I am ashamed of the other human beings.
Thanks for not being a complete human

That's why we flee the planet.

The letter 'A' in HUMAN must be such an assss.

A is right next to S.

3:53 PM
Everytime...
If there was a story on the alphabets, S would have been into A.

Composer failed to type lyrics probably.
Thanks !!!

And i learn English from you.

That's impossible!!

I actually learn navigation from you, manshu.

3:57 PM
You are my teacher, ever since I lost the English subject.
How so?

I do already know English, from the best. But it's a landscape that must still be navigated with emotion.
