I'm trying to wrap my head around it: your supervisor is silly, you don't like the country where you are working on your PhD, you don't see why a degree-granting institution should require students to meet certain criteria. You just want your degree, because you think you've done enough especially given how badly the world has been treating you.

I'm just wondering if someone has been forcing you to do your PhD under that specific supervisor, at that specific university, in that particular country. Or if no-one told you, that it is not you who is the judge of whether you are ready...
