@Alex I think so too. :) As mentioned in that question, you might be interested in seeing the CS169.1x course's site, which is public.

earlier today i saw that room and didn't really realise the potential, but finding this one, makes me think that there might be more on the way

It's a particularly good fit for these massive online courses, since they have a large enough audience to help drive a site like this.
