and Penalty Schedules](https://www.courts.ca.gov/documents/UBPS-2022-Final.pdf), under CVC 21453), in addition to a point on the license.
@PeterM: I want to note that contesting the ticket does not necessarily mean going to court. You can do it by Trial by Written Declaration. This has the added benefit that if you lose Trial by Written Declaration, you are entitled to a de novo trial in court, so you get two chances to win this way.
