@EuriPinhollow that's what I was trying to explain, the phrase "it's cure it" is commonly used in dry humor. You just missed it from lacking the cultural background
I can't remember the word for what they are called, but English, and particularly American English has a ton of them
I think I was thinking of colloquialism, though I suppose that doesn't quite fit, but it's a similar kind of thing
it has an implied meaning beyond the simple meaning of the words
due to cultural context

A "bug" in the context that it was originally used is by @Shyju is a minor illness. People often refer to cases of influenza that are not life threatening and leave no long term consequences to one's health as a "bug". "I would love to attend your function tonight, but I have the flu bug and would hate to give it to everyone else so I'll have to stay home instead."

In general people want to rid themselves of the "bug" when they are ill.
When people have a "bug" to buy a product that will cost them lots of money, the way to "cure" the bug is to take a more realistic look at the product in question so that they can realize that the product is not the miraculous solution to every problem they've ever had, even if it has been marketed as such.

I am still going to get a Fuji Xt2

@scottbb Punchline to what?
@Shyju On a more serious note, exactly what do you hope the Xt2 can do to improve the images you have been getting with your D610?

@MichaelClark sorry. I was making a dry joke about you having to explain your dry joke... or maybe a joke about explaining a joke... or... eh, I forgot. I guess I'm cured of it. =)

8:58 AM
@AJHenderson Well, the verb "cure" is used in non-medical context in russian language too. This might be called idiom.
@MichaelClark That explains it better, I thought that "bug" is literally a bug.
Dreaming about getting a NEX with 12mm F2 and 10mm F2,8 tho.

@MichaelClark It is not about the image quality. It is about weight and size. I walked in NY with my 610 for 4 days and my back hurts

@EuriPinhollow yes, idiom was the word
and actually, as Michael pointed out, there was actually even a more direct joke beyond that which I actually missed entirely
