how come I always get a vote on a contest image Im about to replace with another. I can go 2-3 weeks with zero votes and when I decide to replace it, I get a vote, so I have to delete and repost.

I just started to drink, going to watch Fin-Russia icehockey match and then go to sauna and drinks in every so often... so, I'm a Finn with Finnish drinking culture ;)

I type fast and I think the right letters, but my fingers have their own mind

I went to business school, and the only really useful skill I obtained there was 10-finger system on keyboard

I was on accounting and bookkeeping line

but we got typewriting lessons too

I also went to two different - hmm.. "lines" - in Turku University, but I did not see a clear path to any real profession there, so that's why I went to the business college

those "lines" .. I think they call it "majors" but I'm not sure. Anyway, I started with Economics (Keynes and such stuff) major, and soon changed to Computing Science major. Neither of those appealed to me as a sure way to certain profession :P

after I graduated as a pro-accountant, I found out I don't want to sit behind a desk all my life, I want something physical. As being a big strong man I felt like a wimp behind a desk.

and I found out a factory work suits me so very well, fell in love with the job and also with the amount of salary they pay for such an easy job, lol

see, in this factory I work at, the machine is doing all the job, and I just sit and watch that all goes smoothly. Only need to attend the machine when something goes wrong, but I have been doing it for 24 years now and it is my skill to fine-tune the machine so well that nothing almost never goes wrong, and I get to read my books, browse Facebook and PhotoSE with my mobile phone, and do the odd off-the-record job of my own - while the machine does all the work and I get the pay per hour ;)

a perfect job for a wandering mind ;)

@AJHenderson My inner workings is such that I usually stay within sober appearance until certain point, which is for me the time to go sleeping. Near that point I'm wasted as hell, but I refuse to let go of the control lever.

anyways, two of my friends do know how hard spirits work on them, and knowing it makes them aggressive they have decided never to drink stronger than beer. I count those two friends of mine as rare exceptions, in a sense that they recognise their own typical behaviour and have made decisions based on that.

@EsaPaulasto hehe, I simply can't stand the sensation. I'm hypersensitive and thus used to exceptionally good balance and sensitivity. As soon as I have two drinks, it starts messing with my senses and I can't stand the feeling

so I simply don't drink heavily because I find it generally an unpleasant experience

@AJHenderson contrary to that, I can take a heavy load without showing it out, even to the point of me losing my memory (happened a few times) and the reports of witnesses are positive, I do behave very nicely. In that regard I might as well not be a Finn, lol

I uploaded two photos to 500px, I got overwhelmed by memories when browsing my local photogallery, and got only two uploaded even though I spent a few hours browsing :D

you know, I still have not got the tax-refund i've been waiting for, thus not got a new camera either :(

it was my own mistake to let them (the government) tax me too high, and once I vainally ... finally got hold of it, I filed a request for refund the 18th of December last year....... damn they are slow over there :(

That is the endless cycle of the photography enthusiast. Spend the max allowed by budget, tell yourself it will be awesome and you won't need any new equipment for years, then within 6-12months - start eying up new equipment. :)

I still don't understand how no media (even the news places that have written about the customer backlash) have called Adobe out on the fact that their claims that it is cheaper simply don't hold up to even a modicum of scrutiny.

the fact that someone can quadruple the price of a product, call it a discount and not get called out is depressing

the more I think about it, the more I'm realizing I would be far less pissed if they weren't claiming it made things cheaper

that and calling the $20 a month for CS6 owners a deal. Hey, we'll give you a discount and let you only pay us $20 a month for something you already bought
