Update: 2 chapters and one page into the book, already headcanoning based on the knowledge that one of the characters (Monty, described in book one as part Marie curie and part Mary poppins) has a “No-Fry” list, with bacon at the top. I’m now completely obsessed again and imagining a lot of reasons for that list (top: explosions happened.)
