The ringed seal is super duper rare thanks to only living in lake Saimaa and numerous human-brought hazards: fishing nets and climate change being two particularly big threats. (They need snow to build their nests when they have pups)

Also valid when you compare Japan/America Teen Titan collaboration cartoon Starfire with the comic counterpart.

And in that case Starfire managed to get Lamu/Lum haircut thanks to a subtle reference some designer must have thrown in.

But... to be fair I was more talking about the face and specifically of the hair pattern.

Especially the stripe.
