@RedRiderX I think Jenny's point was not so much that the pillow itself is disturbing so much as that that kind of merchandise was being exhibited in inappropriate contexts

@RedRiderX oh, I wasn't really making any judgment about that. What I said is that the "MLP fandom" how they call it.... it is quite odd, to the point I don't even think you should call it a fandom as a whole in the first place.

It has great content.... stories like Snowdrop, songs like It's great to be different and so on....

And it has "not-so-great" content, starting from crepypastas about torture, violent videos make in an attempt to shock young watchers (See: Smile HD, which is often used in contagion with "normal" thumbails) and so on....

There is already plenty of people that think that every fan falls in the second group.

I guess I should have put "the pillow is disturbing" in scare-quotes because I agree that it's just a surface level joke that's used to explore a few different aspects of the fandom.

@RedRiderX problem - suppose you know nothing about the context. If I took that picture alone and posted it somewhere without the full video content, it gives some not-so-great vibes.

And since that is a thumb for a youtube video, I am not a fan of "you will understand it is a joke only if you watch the video"
