Went to see a play yesterday. It was about a family of a recently-laid-off IT manager, her husband who makes meager income by photographing nature instead of people, and their fifteen-year old daughter who gets increasingly ignored by her parents in their attempts to stabilize their income.
The parents visit a free seminar about "digitalization in modern enterpreneurship", which is full of sentimental pleas to "seize the moment" and marketing through creating a buzz in the social media. It's followed by an expensive course that one "simply must take, or you'll let the other attendees down", lots of compliments, setting up a business with lots of focus on the marketing, presence in the social media etc but none on the product. Guess if their finances improve.
