Lol
Space Pirates of the Caribbean, fantastic idea that
@doppelgreener I actually have thought this exact thing many times myself

Like actually thinking of it yet again, it seems like a very defeatist attitude
Only train one apprentice Because they will betray you eventually anyway, and you should only grudgingly train Even that one person
If you train more that just garuntees that they will all gang up and murder you later

@trogdor oh, Pirates of the Caribbean... the alleged "reboot" should come this year, right?
I sense a big "flop" incoming
09:37
also, the Sonic movie draws near...
too bad it probably won't be as bad as the first trailer made it look
10:01
lol

Game:
Reality:
question: why did they shape the real one as a barrel if they already had the idea to shape it as a leek in the game?
It is the same toy.... give me the game version, not the generic barrel one!
10:35
I don't quite understand what that all is
@Derpy because it's way cheaper to make a recolour of a toy that already exists than to spin up production for a custom model
@trogdor You know the Pop-up Pirate toy?
Pop-Up Pirate is a popular luck-based game for children manufactured by Tomy. It originated in Japan in 1975 under the name Kurohige Kiki Ippatsu (黒ひげ危機一発, Lit. "Blackbeard in Danger") and has seen many iterations over the years. == Rules == The pirate is placed into a spring-loaded barrel and rotated to randomize the unlucky slot. Players must take it in turns to insert plastic swords into slots in the side of the barrel. If a player inserts the sword into a specific slot (which changes randomly every time the game is played), the pirate is launched out of the barrel and the player is eliminated...
Uh,... I don't think i do?
basically: Russian roulette for kids
see above wikipedia page
Since Hatsune Miku has always been tied to leeks (old story, started as a meme) in the Project Diva games you can often see the various Vocaloids play with a "custom" version of the toy
the barrel is switched with a giant leek, and the swords are leeks too.
Sadly, the real version of the toy just has a generic barrel.
lame

ah
XD
I can see how that would be disapointing
@trogdor yeah it feels like they just went "ah! darth vader and the emperor! there were two of them. let's take this trait of no particular indicative significance and extend it out to be a universal rule."
they did the same with:
- Obi-wan's clothes: apparently not just Tatooine desert gear but universal Jedi clothing
- The lightsaber: apparently not just *a* Jedi weapon, but the only Jedi weapon.
- The name Darth: Darth Vader isn't first name / last name, just an honorific. Everyone has it.
- Red lightsabers and black robes.
Did you see Dee Pennyway's prequel re-write pitch?
Some of those are great moves! All the villains having red weapons and all-black outfits is a great way to help the audience understand what was going on. "All the Jedi everywhere wear the outfit this guy happened to wear who was a hermit on a desert planet" is not, however, a great move.
@BESW I have not!
They don't like big public re-tweeting without permission so I'll DM ya.
@doppelgreener Especially as said guy is supposedly in exile and hopefully trying to camouflage his origin as a Jedi :)
12:12
@kviiri Yesssss... that's a thing.
@BESW Thanks :)
@doppelgreener just imagine if the kyber crystals colors couldn't be changed so easily and Siths were stuck with pink lightsabers.
@Derpy Pink would just become the colour of evil in the Far Away Galaxy culture. (Yes, the galactic culture. This is Star Wars.)
@vicky_molokh fooled.
@Derpy hehehehe
12:19
honestly that would also be cool though
now Darth Pinkie will be forever stuck in your mind, @vicky_molokh
@Derpy I don't really get the big deal. I've seen WH40k and Fallout crossover images and this isn't any more impressive than them.
@vicky_molokh I keep forgetting that the old "now you are thinking about a pink pony from a kid show" trick does not work in the RPG chat rooms.
Users here generally aren't "afraid of fairy tales"

I spell 'ostrich' with a capital D! You gotta pay for the O 'cause the D ain't free.

3 hours later…
18:09
um hey
18:44
@doppelgreener yeah I wouldn't be too surprised
also hi
user15026
@trogdor I feel like you're awake early?
a little bit yes
but I also went to bed early
this kinda happens when I do that
user15026
That's fair :)
XD
if it was any earlier I would go back to bed but now it's not worth it and I feel well rested so
I'm kinda a morning person
user15026
19:03
Ah, I am definitely not that
19:29
the flip side is, if I stay up too late there is hell to pay

4 hours later…
23:05
I stay up late all the time. the trick is not to stay up late that you feel compelled to stay up through the next day
23:32
I've stayed up through to the next day exactly once when i was a teenager and i fell asleep on the couch for 7 hours after that
It ruined my weekend but at least i didn't miss any classes and have to catch up
