Okay but seriously. Orphan Black? If your freaking ORACLE CHILD doesn't turn out to be an attempt to create the Antichrist or something like that, I'm going to be horribly horribly disappointed.

Oh, hey... Slightly off topic here, but I had a very interesting dream last night.
I had a dream that I removed my girlfriends ability to get pregnant. Nothing gruesome - didn't remove any body parts or anything like that
That's highly peculiar

I changed her code. I just commented out the line that called the "Fertilisation" class.
Sign me up for that. :P

@Codeacula peculiar would be a word for it haha
I remember thinking "It's ok, I'll just comment it out for now, so that if we want to get pregnant later, I can just put it back in, no fuss!"
But that's easy. Just have her override the IFertile class and throw EggNotFound

To fill in the gaps - I'm a coder at work. Writing a databse management program at the moment

@Codeacula you are quickly becoming my new favourite person :P
yeeah, I'm really tempted to move this to the Not A Bar; it's edging toward some weighty issues and I won't be around later to move it if folks get uncomfortable.
:( Sorry

Men's control over women's reproduction is kind of a Serious Big Deal topic IRL. I trust you guys are going to be mature about it, but it's still maybe better to keep it sidebarred so if anyone doesn't want to be involved in the conversation they can still be in main chat.

I do find it interesting that I decided to delve into her code. I honestly think it would be easier to find the right class in my code and remove that instead.
@BESW Honestly did not even see it that way
but you raise a good point
Yeah, sorry!
'sokay. Dreams are weird.
Now I gotta go, probably won't be around for the next ~9 hours. That's the main reason I jumped on it while it was still manageable.

@Codeacula high fives
Oh wait. Wrong timing. Lol
22:52
haha
@Codeacula I suggest you give a second thought to what you are saying here with this message.
@doppelgreener In which aspect?
That last interface could be taken either way. (You don't or she doesn't?)
actually psh
nevermind
I guess ImNotSureWhatImDoing is just a part of being a human
22:59
But if it was the Object it would be IsntSureWhatTheyreDoing
I seeeeeee....
[brain ascends to new levels of interface enlightenment]
at first I read that in the context of negative girl stereotypes but whatever, girlfriends and boyfriends probably have NFI what they're doing
not sure why i read it that way originally
My fiancee is instructing me on how to be civil, so
I don't know how to wedding or engagement ring
(I would have been really mortified if it was negative gender stereotype stuff :()
I actually was when you first said something. At first I thought I messed up a question
But it got worse
Rest assured things are ok now
I'll delete it or something anyway if you want :)
Probably even better than before: my present workplace now allows me to set a relatively recent Firefox version for my default browser instead of IE8
@Codeacula Don't worry about it, I shouldn't have read it in a negative light anyway
23:04
I can't delete it anyway :(
The fact you read it like that means it probably shouldn't be there, really
Negative or no
Though yes, I did mean I, codeacula, don't know what I'm doing
But that's programming for you
@Codeacula probably it is fine in isolation and with understanding that you mean well by it, only the context could make it seem different

Today I was the first, and then the second
I am always the second
though I could just more easily say I am not a programmer.
I was the first one setting up the cabana board for 3.1
I was the second one when I was setting up unit testing in Angular :(
ooo ooo ooo
#C0FFEE
Aw man, nevermind :(
What's that?
23:09
On Slack if you sent a color code it shows the color
And we had a blast doing #C0FFEE because it's actually the color of water
Oh! Hahaha
In where?
@doppelgreener In standard colour codes
If you use slack for communication, all you have to do is put in the code
@Miniman No, I mean: what's Slack?
It's a group chat program
23:19
Oh, this thing
Yep :)
