Man, I don't want to spoil myself for FNAF2 (since I might play the series eventually), but LittleKuriboh did an LP of it it in character as Kaiba... it is so funny already. "[reading] $100.50 a week? [much laughter] What do I look like, the 99%?"
I'm looking forward to seeing whether they'll finally let him win in the upcoming movie. For a guy as obsessed with winning as he is, he sure loses a lot. xD
But then, Yuugi doesn't duel in all of those episodes. Jounouchi duels in a lot of them, there's one between Anzu and Mai, etc.
Er, Jounouchi = Joey, Anzu = Tea.
Kaiba did get to steamroll Jounouchi, which was kind of amusing, because Jounouchi probably should have known better than to play the way he did by then.
I'm not sure how much Abridged touches on the way he starts out dueling, but he just plays monsters over and over again without thinking about what he's doing, even if they're getting destroyed. He starts to learn how to use actual strategy, but when he duels Kaiba, he apparently forgets all of it.
But when Jou loses or during the time that his opponents have the upper hand on him, it's usually because he just indiscriminately puts down monsters he thinks are strong.
@trogdor Mai could have beaten her in that one, even.
Mai's backstory is that she worked on a cruise ship dealing cards for rich jerks and got tired of people because all it seemed they did was think of themselves. She's very much a lone wolf and believes that a dueliest is alone when dueling.
She forfeits because Anzu touched her during the duel (fighting for Yuugi), and if Mai wins, Yuugi won't be able to go to the castle.
I also switch back and forth from typing Yugi and Yuugi because the show is stylized YuGiOh and all that, but his name is Yuugi. I can hear that when they say it, so I automatically type it that way a lot of the time. xD
The fact that he doesn't believe in the heart of the cards is primarily why Yuugi mindcrushes him in the first episode, actually. Not so much because he kidnapped his grandpa. No one seems to stay mad about that.
That's why Seto goes on his little quest and leaves his unsupervised 11 year old brother in charge of a multimillion dollar company with known enemies.
Mine are pretty rarely canon because a lot of it's slash that's heavily hinted at in something but never consummated, which is a thing anime does a lot. Or it's a rivalship like this. xD
@doppelgreener When they mapped the Bahá'í calendar to the Gregorian one, they just looked at which Gregorian day each of the Twin Birthdays originally fell on. The Báb was born in 1819, while Baháh'u'lláh was born in 1817. So the lunar calendar days for Their Birthdays shifted around compared to the Gregorian ones over the course of those two years.
If you check when the eighth full moon of the year was on two separate years using a solar calendar, it'll probably be two different days; but on a lunar calendar it'll be the same day every year.
@doppelgreener YuGiOh animation is not famous for its consistency. Or maybe it's a sentient being and you're just noticing its respiration. ... it wouldn't be the first character I theorized had sentient hair.
